The Towboat Katie Hooper, beached at Hamm’s Holiday Harbor in Chillicothe. It was christened as the Esso Louisiana in 1947 at the Dravo Corporation Shipyard in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dravo was the lead designer of the LST (Landing Ship Tank), and built 60 LST vessels during World War II. Several of these vessels participated in the D-Day landing in Normandy, the largest invasion by sea in world history.
