City Museum, St. Louis, Missouri. Kodak Retina 118, Ferrania P30, ISO 50

I while ago, maybe two years, I supported a Kickstarter for a group of ex-employees of the Ferrania film  corporation in Italy. Their goal was to save the machinery to manufacture film from the base materials required from sure destruction as the Ferrania Factory was slated to be demolished.

A month or two ago I received a mysterious package in the mail – with 5 rolls of this beautifully packaged film inside.

You have to love a film which was used to shoot classics such as Fellini’s 8½.

The Film Ferrania team are a true inspiration – building a factory from almost nothing into a real product with barely any money and a lot of hard work.  This is the kind of company I will be happy to spend my money on.
